Salman issues diktat to Arbaaz

Going against Salman's wishes is not an idea worth pursuing. The same lessons are being learnt by none other than Salman Khan's younger brother Arbaaz Khan.

According to sources, Salman is miffed with Arbaaz for trying to broker peace between him and SRK. The issue has reached a point where Sallu has told Arbaaz in no uncertain terms to avoid playing such a role.

In the past Arbaaz has been friendly with SRK despite the fact that SRK and Sallu's chemistry is going through its coldest phase. But, now Salman is keeping a close watch on any attempts that might end his arch rivalry. He is no mood to let go so soon.

Our sources further add, "The fact that Salman does not forgive his enemies has become one of his brand features. It is very difficult for him to go against the same since it is something that defines him. His fresh diktat to Arbaaz has to be seen in that light. Look at what he did to Vivek Oberoi. He is trying to repeat it in case of his cold bond with SRK."

While Bollywood and its brawls would not stop from taking place, but this one is the baap of all as it involves two biggest stars who happen to be arch rivals.

Deepika to sizzle for Dum Maro Dum

Deepika Padukone shoots for Dum Maro Dum remix video, she even flaunts off a new tattoo

Deepika Padukone will sizzle the screen for Rohan Sippy's Dum Maro Dum. She recently shot for a remix of the title track that has her flaunting a tattoo of a cobra on her torso.

The song has racy lyrics and is touted to be one of the biggest attractions of the film. Reveals a source, "The song is explosive and bold, with really unimaginable lyrics.

The theme of the track has several references to sex and drugs. Initially, Deepika was hesitant given the nature of the lyrics and the inherent innuendo.

But after some convincing and seeing the creative visuals for the song she decided to make sure it looked super hot.

Part of the preparation included getting a tattoo with the words 'Dum Maro Dum' and the image of a King Cobra."

Pritam remixed the track, Bosco choreographed the number.

Lyrics of the song
Hey..kya phir dekh raha hai
Aaj aankhen sek raha hai kal haath sekega
Aaj dheel chod raha hai kal khud hi tokega
Aaj mere liye chair kheech raha hai kal meri skirt kheechega
Kheechega ki nahi ?

Vidya Balan not baring all for Hussain's painting

Vidya Balan has not agreed to expose for a painting for acclaimed artist M.F. Hussain, says a close friend of the actress. "The story is fabricated to damage her reputation and it hasn't gone down well with the actress who has always maintained a dignified stance both in her personal and professional life," said the friend.

Hussain finds Vidya's persona especially her face very sensual and cultured and a newspaper reported that she will bare all for his painting. But Vidya, who will feature in Ekta Kapoor's "Dirty Pictures", has always maintained she would take up projects only with an aesthetic sense.

"The news is absolutely hysterical. We are in the month of February and not April. Vidya has always maintained a dignified image and is one of the most respected stars in the industry. The reports are fabricated by parties with vested interests and if ever Vidya does decide to get a painting done, it will strictly be her face. Hope this puts an end to the speculation," said the friend.

Katy Perry and Russell Brand have dismissed reports that they are seeking marriage guidance.

It was previously suggested that they had made the move because of difficulties since Russell posted an unflattering snap of his wife online, reports the Daily Star.

However, Perry''s spokesman has denied that the singer is ready to consult a therapist just three months into their marriage. And a source close to the couple insisted, "everything was great".

Perry responded to the counselling claims by publicly flirting with her husband on Twitter. She cheekily wrote: "It''s your favorite day, Hump day!"

But despite constantly sending messages to Katy when they first got together, Brand, has not tweeted her since November.

Brad Pitt styles partner Angelina Jolie

Hollywood actor Brad Pitt takes interest in his partner Angelina Jolie's wardrobe and even decides her outfits for red carpet. He stunned the Jolie's styling team when he selected a blue Max Azria gown for her to wear at the Screen Actors Guild awards in 2009.

"We were going to dress Angelina Jolie and we had a choice of three gowns with us. When we got there, she said she wanted Brad to pick," femalefirst.co.uk quoted Lubov Azria, chief creative officer of BCBGMaxAzriaGroup as saying.

"There's usually a staff of 10 people who all have an opinion. But Brad was very decisive. He's an architect and likes geometric things. He chose the dress that everyone thought was backwards, and it was. He likes boat necks - that's all she wears."

A boat neck - also known as a bateau neck - refers to a wide neckline that runs horizontally, front and back, almost to the shoulders. While Pitt takes an interest in Jolie's wardrobe, the 35-year-old actress has previously claimed she doesn't worry about being fashionable as long as she feels comfortable.

"I don't think too much about what to wear on the red carpet. I usually have three basic colours and I get the same shapes in different colours. But I like to get dressed up and feel like a lady every once in a while," she said.

Karunanidhi sends legal notice to Swamy for linking him to 2G scam

Rejecting charges of his involvement in the 2G spectrum allocation scam, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Dravida Munnettra Kazhagam chief M Karunanidhi [ Images ] on Sunday issued a legal notice to Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy, demanding retraction of his 'statement' linking him to the scam within 24 hours.

The DMK patriarch, in his notice to Swamy, dismissed the allegation as "motivated by your personal malice, political rivalry and clamour for cheap publicity."

Karunanidhi's notice issued through counsel P R Raman comes a day after Swamy's plea in a Delhi [ Images ] court for continuance of his private complaint in the case, seeking to claim that it covered a wider canvas of "involvement" of the DMK patriarch.

The Janata Party leader had said he intends to file an application seeking to implead Karunanidhi in the case, as there was sufficient evidence to that effect.

"In newspaper reports dated February 6, 2011, you are believed to have made an open press statement that the so-called 2G spectrum case was much wider than what is being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation and that you have personal knowledge that the alleged 2G scam also involves concerns of national security and involvement of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister," the notice said.

The statement was made "recklessly" with the intention of causing "serious injury" to Karunanidhi's image and reputation, the notice issued to Swamy's Chennai residential and official address, which was released to the media, said.

"Our client categorically states that he has no involvement whatsoever in the so-called 2G spectrum case and your attempt to involve his fair name is motivated. The statement constitutes a wilful and malicious defamation of his character," it said.

The notice asked Swamy to immediately issue a public retraction of the statement within 24 hours, failing which Karunanidhi would institute appropriate civil and/or criminal proceedings against him for defamation of character.

It said Karunanidhi is "acknowledged to be an elder statesman in Indian politics," besides being a five-time chief minister.

The Delhi court had last month held as "maintainable" Swamy's private complaint filed on December 15 last year. Swamy had pleaded that his complaint be taken cognizance of and former telecom minister A Raja be summoned to take the case to its logical conclusion.

The Janata Party president had also requested the court to appoint him "as a deemed public prosecutor under the provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act."

Praja Rajyam Party merges with Congress

Nearly 30 months after launching his party with much fanfare, Praja Rajyam chief Chiranjeevi on Sunday announced its merger with the Congress, which is trying to counter the possible threat posed by Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy in Andhra Pradesh.

Emerging after a 15-minute meeting with Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Mr. Chiranjeevi said the decision was taken keeping in mind the “best interests” of the people of Andhra Pradesh as both the Congress and the PRP fight for social justice.

“We have decided to merge PRP with the Congress. The decision has been taken without any condition. There are no conditions at all,” Mr. Chiranjeevi told reporters outside Ms. Gandhi’s residence.

AICC general secretary in-charge for Andhra Pradesh M. Veerappa Moily said, “Chiranjeevi has merged his party with the Congress. He has now become a member of the Congress family. I am quite happy.”

Defence Minister A. K. Antony, who had met Mr. Chiranjeevi in Hyderabad recently and invited him for talks with Ms. Gandhi, was also present in the meeting.

Asked whether the move was to counter the threat posed by Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy, Mr. Moily said, “We are not against anybody. The move is just to strengthen the Congress. We are not against any personality.”

Mr. Chiranjeevi insisted that the merger has been agreed upon without any pre-conditions and that he has no “selfish motives”. “I do not expect anything at all. Not at all. I will be what I am today,” he said in response to queries on whether he would join the N. Kiran Kumar Reddy Cabinet.

Sonali Bebdre is the new goes panty less! girl

It seems Sonali Bendre is following the current bandwagon where B-town girls are forgetting to wear the essential piece of garment. Sonali attended Karan Johar's bash at Four Seasons in Mumbai on Wednesday. The actress arrived at the party wearing a short black mini dress but forgot to wear the essential piece of garment - her underwear. She came along with family friend Aishwarya Rai and her sister in law Shrishti Arya.

It is believed that the actress who was sitting on the back seat of her car along with Ash was clueless about what was showing. When she was informed by the press, her reaction was all the more shocking. She smiled at the reporters and said, "I am happy that you saw it." It can be recalled that Yana went through the same situation and didn't took it very seriously and called herself the 'No Panty Girl'.
